Memorandum of Understanding

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is an administrative agreement that sets out the accountability relationship between the responsible Minister and the Chair of the classified agency.

The Tribunal’s current MOU, signed in 2011 and affirmed in 2014, 2018, and 2019 between the Minister of Labour and the Chair of the Tribunal establishes a mutual commitment to a cooperative working relationship and information exchange, within a framework that recognizes the independence of the Tribunal.
