Public Appointments Secretariat at www.pas.gov.on.ca

Application forms filed with the Public Appointment Secretariat are forwarded to the Minister of Labour who reviews the material and forwards it to the Tribunal Chair.  Once an application is received at the Tribunal, candidates are contacted and invited to write an exam intended for prospective appointees.   The examination takes the form of a draft decision on an appeal to the Tribunal and generally lasts two to three hours.

Appointments to the Tribunal are made on the recommendation of the Tribunal Chair / Minister of Labour, reviewed by the Standing Committee on Government Agencies and confirmed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
