WSIAT Donates Supply of N95 Masks to Mount Sinai Hospital

Over the past several weeks the WSIAT has organized a prompt and effective organizational response to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency. This preparation has included measures to protect the health and safety of our staff, OICs and clients, and to maintain the critical business services we provide to workers and employers in Ontario.

The Tribunal’s efforts have also extended to support the dedicated frontline healthcare workers in their critical work responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. On Friday, March 27th, Jude Andrew, Administration Advisor, proposed that the Tribunal’s supply of N95 masks, an essential protective tool in hospitals across the province, be donated to a neighboring hospital. Rosemarie McCutcheon, Tribunal Chair, immediately approved the proposal and Jude personally delivered 140 N95 respirator masks to Mount Sinai Hospital. The donation was gratefully welcomed by the hospital staff.

The Tribunal acknowledges Jude’s timely efforts and affirms our collective commitment to supporting our public service partners in their work to overcome the COVID-19 public health emergency.

We will do it together!
